By accepting a Pickleball BC Youth Initiative Grant, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below.
- The designated beneficiary group or location must be within the Province of B.C.
- The application must describe a defined program or needs.
- A group or location will be limited to one grant per calendar year.
- Certain control measures must be assured prior to a grant being offered.
- The applicant must agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Youth Initiative Grant Program.
List of qualified pickleball expenses eligible for reimbursement
- USA Pickleball / International Federation of Pickleball approved paddles or balls.
- Approved portable or permanent net systems.
- Marking materials for court lines (painter’s tape, chalk, etc. or equivalent products).
- One International Federation of Pickleball / Pickleball Canada current Rulebook.
- Instructional assistance either as an honorarium or travel expenses.
Award considerations or criteria
- Schools or youth clubs interested in introducing pickleball to their students or participants aged 18 and under.
- The school or youth group has plans for a continuing program.
- If instructional assistance is part of the application then a recognized individual must provide such instruction.
- A Pickleball BC affiliated club or association sponsors the grant application and provides the required administration and control measures.
- Applications that include matching funding by the local pickleball club or association will be given preference.
Grant Administrative Details
- As the local pickleball club will be tasked with local control/administration of the grant - that club must be the 'applicant' on behalf of the final user group or location.
- In the event that no local Club exists - schools or youth organizations are encouraged to contact Pickleball BC directly for assistance.
- Grants will generally be reviewed for approval on a first-come first-served basis until the grant funding for the current calendar year is exhausted.
- The maximum reimbursement per grant is $500.
- Grant reimbursements will only be valid for 90 days from the date of the award letter.
- Expenses incurred in the 60 days prior to the award of a grant may be considered.

By accepting a Pickleball BC Youth Initiative Grant, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below.
- Grant approvals are made on reimbursement basis only. Within ninety (90) days following grant approval, you must send a copy of all applicable receipts and the award letter to the Pickleball BC treasurer. Receipts should clearly show the person or organization that paid for the equipment, the products purchased, the cost of each product and the total amount. The grant number must be clearly identified when submitting receipts for reimbursement. Please identify the mailing address for the reimbursement cheque, if different than the grant approval letter, or EFT instructions.
- The grant is to be used solely for the project as described in your Grant Application.
- Your pickleball program must adhere to all International Federation of Pickleball / Pickleball Canada rules and standards.
- Your pickleball program must adhere to all National, Provincial and Local health and safety laws, regulations and mandates as well as those rules implemented by individual facilities.
- You will encourage all youth players in your pickleball program to become familiar with the Pickleball BC organization and website.
- Pickleball BC may request permission to use or publicize pictures, logos and any other locally produced material in support of promoting further youth pickleball developments. Note: Pickleball BC will NOT publish any youth photos without parental or guardian consent.
- The decisions of Pickleball BC on matters involving this Youth Initiatives Grant Program are final, binding and not appealable.
Application
Grant funds will be dispersed against expenses. You will be provided with an Expense Claim Form.
You will be required to submit a Performance Report within 60 days of essential completion.
