Join Cheryl Young and a fellow coach for a fun 3 or 4 hour clinic of pickleball drills, skills and games.

“Learn to Play/ Early Player” Camps

 Dates: September 2nd, 17th or 24th / October 7th / November 12th or 26th
Beginner and early camp players will walk away knowing the game from start to finish. This includes serving and returning serves with purpose, scoring, court positioning, and understanding some basic tactics to be able to walk on to any pickleball court with confidence. This camp is suitable for brand new players or players with less than 20 games under their belt. All equipment is provided.No experience necessary.

“Level Up 1” Intermediate Camps


Dates: September 2nd, October 7th, November 12th or 26th
Stop making the same mistakes. Slow down the “banger-ball/ mini-tennis” game through third shot drops, re-sets, and dinking. Learn team communication to know when to advance to the net or stay back. Learn how to play with more strategy and start executing your shots with more purpose.

"Level Up 2” Intermediate Camps

Dates to be announced.
This camp is designed for players who are at a higher intermediate level, who may have already taken intermediate lessons in the past and who want to get to the next level. More challenging material and drills will be covered including third shot choices (drops, lobs, drives) and re-sets from mid court, speeding up the ball at the NVL (speed-ups), overhead smashes, and firefights.
Corporate Team Building Events

Cheryl will work within your company budget to create a fun team building experience for your staff including introducing the game to them and running a fun mini tournament. Groups as few as 6 and as many as 48.

In partnership with the City of Burnaby, the Burnaby Pickleball Association is offering 6 weeks of mentoring for new or novice adult pickleball players.

When:

Cost: no cost
Equipment: Paddles and balls will be provided

Course Description:
 
These beginner-level lessons teach the fundamentals of pickleball; from understanding the rules of the game to developing proper techniques for serving, volleying, and playing. Equipment is provided. Registration fees are refundable if a request for withdrawal is received at least 5 days before the start of the program. If less than 5 days notice is given, registration fees, less a 10% cancellation fee, will be refunded.

Ages 16+
Pickleball is a fun combination of badminton, tennis, and table tennis that continues to grow in popularity. In this 2-hour clinic you will learn the basic rules and skills of the game.

This beginner+ program will build on the starter skills learned in our Learn to Play Pickleball lessons by offering more advanced instruction. Registration is also open to those who have not completed Learn to Play, but basic skills and game knowledge are required.
