Come try out this popular, easy-to-learn, and exciting sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis & table tennis. This class is designed for beginner players or intermediate beginners who have never played or have only played a few times. Learn the foundation of the game. Proper grip, basic rules, scoring and court positioning from a Certified Pickleball Instructor.  You will be able to hit the ball correctly and move safely and efficiently around the court. It is NOT necessary to purchase a paddle for this class. Paddles, balls & all equipment will be provided. Join certified coach Cheryl Young and her team for a fun 3- or 4-hour clinic of pickleball instructions, drills, skills and games. The location is BCIT in Burnaby.

“Learn to Play/Early Player” Crash Course Camps
Dates: January 3rd, February 7th, March 21st, April 25th, May 30th, June 27th, July 25th

Learn the basics in this 3-hour camp. This camp is suitable for brand new players or players with less than 20 games under their belt. All equipment is provided. No experience necessary. Return to your community ready to play with confidence!

“Level Up 1” Intermediate Camps
Dates: January 3rd, February 7th, March 21st, April 25th, May 30th, June 27th, July 25th

This camp is suitable for intermediate level players. Each player’s wishlist will be covered. Gain confidence by learning how to keep the ball low and reduce pop-ups. Start playing with more strategy and execute your shots with more purpose. Learn the mechanics of the serve, drive, third shot drop, re-sets, firefights, lobs, footwork and strategy.

Course Description:
 
These beginner-level lessons teach the fundamentals of pickleball; from understanding the rules of the game to developing proper techniques for serving, volleying, and playing. Equipment is provided. Registration fees are refundable if a request for withdrawal is received at least 5 days before the start of the program. If less than 5 days notice is given, registration fees, less a 10% cancellation fee, will be refunded.
