Join Cheryl Young and a fellow level 2 certified coach for a fun 3 or 4 hour clinic of pickleball drills, skills and games at BCIT April through August 2023. Contact Cheryl at cheryl.young@shaw.ca to register:
“Learn to Play/ Early Player” Camps Saturdays: 1pm-4pm or 3pm-6pm Dates: April 29th, May 20th, 21st, July 8th, August 12th Mondays 6pm-9pm Dates: June 5th, 19th Beginner and early camp players will walk away knowing the game from start to finish. This includes serving and returning serves with purpose, scoring, court positioning, and understanding some basic tactics to be able to walk on to any pickleball court with confidence. This camp is suitable for brand new players or players with less than 20 games under their belt. All equipment provided. “Level Up 1” Intermediate Camps Mondays 2pm - 6pm June 5th, June 19th Saturdays 1pm-4pm July 18th, August 12th Slow down the “banger-ball/ mini-tennis” game through third shot drops, re-sets, and dinking. Learn team communication to know when to advance to the net or stay back. Learn how to play with more strategy and start executing your shots with more purpose. "Level Up 2” Intermediate Camps Saturday May 20th, 21st 11am- 3pm This camp is designed for players who have already taken intermediate lessons in the past and who want to get to the next step. New material and drills will be covered including third shot choices (drops, lobs, drives) and re-sets from mid court, speeding up the ball at the NVL (speed-ups), overhead smashes, and partner communication. In addition, Cheryl and her co-coach will spend time “playing in” with you and dissecting the points as they happen. Strategy will be top of the list.
