On Tuesday, August 1st North Shore Pickleball hosted a group of seniors from the North Shore Summerhill Parc Retirement Residence. Doug Perkins, a NSPB regular and bus driver/entertainment guy (?) for the Residence, as part of his work organized and brought a group of seniors, to Myrtle Fraser Park North Vancouver, to play pickleball. Average age was not discussed but Gerda Thrane (pictured above) claimed to be the 'senior' at just shy of 99 (that is not a typo)! More details and a couple pictures on the NSPB website.
