By accepting a Pickleball BC Community Initiative Grant, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below.
- The designated beneficiary group or location must be within the Province of B.C.
- The application must describe a defined program or need.
- A group or location will be limited to one grant per calendar year.
- Certain control measures must be assured prior to a grant being offered.
- The applicant must agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Community Initiative Grant Program.
List of qualified pickleball expenses eligible for reimbursement
- USA Pickleball / International Federation of Pickleball approved paddles or balls.
- Approved portable or permanent net systems.
- Marking materials for court lines (painter’s tape, chalk, etc. or equivalent products).
- One International Federation of Pickleball / Pickleball Canada current Rulebook.
- Instructional assistance either as an honorarium or travel expenses.
Award considerations or criteria
- Clubs wanting to provide instruction to introduce pickleball to their local community.
- Clubs wanting to provide equipment to introduce pickleball to their local community.
- The Club has a plan on how to continue the program.
- The Club has a plan to grow pickleball instructional resources within their community.
- The Club is accountable for the execution of the plan and a post evaluation to be shared with PBC.
Grant Administrative Details
- Requests for Grant funding from community based organizations should be directed to the local Affiliated Pickleball BC Club. The Club, after consideration, may apply to Pickleball BC for Grant funding. The Club shall be responsible to Pickleball BC for all management aspects in relationship to any Grant awarded.
- In the event that no local Club or Association exists - community organizations are encouraged to contact Pickleball BC directly for assistance.
- Grants will generally be reviewed for approval on a first-come first-served basis until the grant funding for the current calendar year is exhausted.
- The maximum reimbursement per grant is $500.
- Grant reimbursements will only be valid for 90 days from the date of the award letter.
- Expenses incurred in the 60 days prior to the award of a grant may be considered.

By accepting a Pickleball BC Community Initiative Grant, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below.
- Grant approvals are made on reimbursement basis only. Within ninety (90) days following grant approval, you must send a copy of all applicable receipts and the award letter to the Pickleball BC treasurer. Receipts should clearly show the person or organization that paid for the equipment, the products purchased, the cost of each product and the total amount. The grant number must be clearly identified when submitting receipts for reimbursement. Please identify the mailing address for the reimbursement cheque, if different than the grant approval letter, or EFT instructions.
- The grant is to be used solely for the project as described in your Grant Application.
- Your pickleball program must adhere to all International Federation of Pickleball/Pickleball Canada pickleball rules and standards.
- Your pickleball program must adhere to all National, Provincial and Local health and safety laws, regulations and mandates as well as those rules implemented by individual facilities.
- You will encourage all community players in your pickleball program to become familiar with the Pickleball BC organization and website.
- Pickleball BC may request permission to use or publicize pictures, logos and any other locally produced material in support of promoting further pickleball developments.
- The decisions of Pickleball BC on matters involving this Community Initiatives Grant Program are final, binding and not appealable.
Application:
Grant funds will be dispersed against expenses. You will be provided with an Expense Claim Form.
You will be required to submit a Performance Report within 60 days of essential completion.
