There are 5 regions of Canada represented on the PCO Board, and BC/Yukon provinces comprise “our” Region |

Board Governance Committee:

Mission: To provide governance guidance and oversight to the Pickleball BC Association Board of Directors
Notes: The Board is setting up this Committee and information will be posted when completed.

Coaching Strategies and Development Programs :
Chair: Robin D’Abreo
Mission:The mission of this committee is to develop and publish program guidelines for the selection and training of certified coaches of pickleball in BC.
Notes: Committee priorities include but are not limited to: Assess and support current PCO NCCP approach and current landscape with respect to coaching competency within BC (NCCP and other/previous); liaise with provincial associations around the country to assess approach and methodology for coach development; source and analyze best practice and working models for coach development in the US; gap analysis and identification of hurdles and opportunities within BC and; draft strategy for coach development in BC.

Youth Pickleball:
Chair: Tom Burnell
Mission: The mission for this committee is to investigate all aspects of getting school age individuals more involved in pickleball. Any programs or plans proffered should be sustainable vs. single event.

Maketing Committee:
Chair: John Davis
Mission: The mission of this committee is to assist with developing and posting of "The Kitchen Sink" Newsletter, source news stories for our News page, solicit pictures and stories from our member Clubs, follow tournaments, and help develop sponsorship for our various endeavours.
Notes: This committee is also responsible for maintaining our Pickleball BC website.
Members: David Snell and Mel Buenaventura who is our Marketing Committee volunteer responsible for the Newsletter - and we could always use more help.
IT Infrastructure and Security:
Chair: David Snell
Mission: The mission of this Committee is to recommend updated technology policies and procedures for PBC systems, data, content and communications. Additionally this committee is responsible for maintaining the Association's website.

2025 Provincial Tournament:
Chair: TBA
Mission: The mission of this committee is to send out a 2025 BC Provincial Tournament Bid Book to interested parties mid-2024, vet the respondents, and then with the host club(s), manage the scheduling and operation of the 2025 Provincial Championships
