Introduction
PICKLEBALLBC (PBC) is dedicated to the growth, development, promotion and enjoyment of pickleball for all skill levels across the province. We encourage people of all ages to experience pickleball and discover the enjoyment of friendship, camaraderie and an active life style.
PBC was founded in March 2017. It is the provincial governing body dedicated to making pickleball accessible across the Province of BC.
As a relatively new organization, a first priority is to create a provincial structure that can reflect the diverse wants and needs of the Province. Membership is foundational as it is through individual members that the needs and priorities are heard and established.
It should be noted that for individual registration inquiries, the individuals should be contacting their local clubs first. There are a lot of things PBC can and do to help members, but you can also get 90% of your answers from your local club.

Why do we need a BC Provincial Organization?
Provincial organizations are essential to engage local governments in the growth of pickleball. PICKLEBALLBC will has the capability to help ensure growth in pickleball as the fastest growing sport in BC and North America, as well as the resultant necessary facilities. When a sport expands rapidly, infrastructure soon lags well behind player demand.
It's important that local, Provincial and as well as national governments have access to information regarding growth in order for strategic planning to occur. That planning allows for and helps provide funding of facilities and sport development. These organizations are a voice and advocate ensuring that growth in participation and infrastructure happen in a fair, timely and organized fashion. PBC will be moving forward as most other Provinces are, along with other sport organizations.
