National Pickleball day Celebrated in BC Clubs from around Canada and the world celebrated national pickleball day in various ways. In BC local clubs hosted events, largely in support of various charities or junior players. The Invermere Pickleball Club celebrated National Pickleball Day on Saturday, August 10th, with a great morning of pickleball followed by a potluck lunch. Fantastic turnout including players from other clubs in the valley and visitors to the town. Fun was had by all!! (Prizes were award to the best dressed in Canadian garb to celebrate the wrap up of the Olympics.) Pickleball continues to flourish in the Invermere area with the club's focus shifting towards growing an exciting Junior's program for the area. The Williams Lake Pickleball Club had a great turn out. The Royal Canadian Legion, branch 139 donated funds to purchase 40 new paddles to give to Youth.
The city gave free admission to Rink 2 and Club Members Kevin Bourdon and Frank Kika suppled free instruction to the kids. Comments are closed.
