For tournaments outside British Columbia please reference: Pickleball Canada Pickleball.com If you want your Tournament to be "Sanctioned", please go here to Pickleball Canada (PCO) for details of this process and benefits. PCO says "A Sanctioned Tournament is one which, upon request from your Tournament Director, has been endorsed by Pickleball Canada (PCO) as meeting standards defined by the international rules of pickleball and Pickleball Canada. To be ‘sanctioned’ by Pickleball Canada means an event meets those standards, is well-organized, fair and safe for competitors, and follows the rules and regulations set by the governing bodies." Pickleball.com, along with its subsidiaries, and the PPA Tour, (PickleballTournaments.com and PickleballBrackets.com has merged with Pickleball.com), will adopt DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) as its official and exclusive rating system effective July 1, 2024. Effective September 10, 2025, Pickleball Canada has adopted the DUPR rating system for sanctioned tournaments, however portions of the sanctioning process have changed as a result of this merger. Each sanctioned tournament must now take steps if they wish to limit the reporting of results to DUPR as Pickleball.com is currently set up to automatically upload results to the DUPR platform. Tournaments/Tournament Directors that wish to limit this reporting will need to go into each of their events and turn off the button for ‘Count Games Towards DUPR Ratings’ in order for the results to not be uploaded to DUPR. Note that all unsanctioned tournaments using the Pickleball.com software will have no choice but to use DUPR, meaning each member attending a non-sanctioned tournament will need to create a DUPR profile. PLEASE NOTE: In BC, all Sanctioned Tournaments need approval (written letter as such) from Pickleball BC as well and will be posted here with an (S) for approved, or (S-P) for awaiting approval. |
